Hailing from South Africa, Steve's upbringing immersed him in farms, vineyards, wines, and horses, which all evolved into profound passions. Naturally, the logical path was to unite these interests into a captivating endeavor. Presently, as the viticulturist and operations manager at Clos Du Soleil Winery in the Similkameen Valley, he boasts 25+ years of wine industry expertise and over four decades of equestrian experience. For some time, the idea of horse-based wine tours has been on Steve's mind. After embarking on a few equine wine tours with his partner in business and life, Kim, the overwhelmingly positive responses from friends and family have culminated in the birth of Equines and Wine touring company.

Kim, on the other hand a hometown cowgirl, born and raised in Cawston, British Columbia. Kim considers growing up in the Similkameen Wine Country an incredible blessing. Her equestrian journey began at an early age, as her parents had her astride horses from the moment she could sit independently. Over the years, Kim has nurtured, trained, and rescued numerous horses, forming deep bonds with these majestic creatures. The appendix gelding her father gifted at 15 still remains a cherished companion; with the guidance of exceptional local mentors, Kim retrained and honed his skills. Throughout the years, she has imparted riding lessons and fundamental horsemanship to both children and adults, sharing passion for horses with others.
